We built what we needed
We felt the information available for people affected by perimenopause and menopause wasn't enough. The conversations weren't happening, and the paths to answers were broken.
The gap was personal before it was a project
Shannon Turner didn't set out to build a menopause platform and search engine. She set out to understand what was happening to her body — and kept hitting walls. Doctors who dismissed her. Friends who weren't talking about it. A mother who hadn't warned her.
The more she searched, the clearer the pattern became: this wasn't a personal failing. It was a systemic one.
Over a billion women worldwide are navigating it right now — many of them alone, many of them at 3am, many of them wondering if what they're experiencing is normal.
It is. And they shouldn't have to wonder.
Information as intervention
Menopause Pulse and Menopause Navigator exist because knowledge changes outcomes. When you understand that brain fog is estrogen-related and not early dementia, you stop spiraling. When you learn that rage and anxiety spike during perimenopause, you stop blaming yourself. When you see that 85% of women experience symptoms and 25% find them debilitating, you stop feeling broken. When you can search for solutions based on an assessment of your needs, you feel in control.
We synthesized the research so you don't have to. We built a proper search engine (patent pending) to create options. We included partners because they're part of the picture. We built tools because information without action is just noise.

The short version: We don't sell your data, we don't track more than necessary, and we're not interested in anything creepy. This site — and the Pulse Tracker app — exist to help.
What we collect
On the website: If you contact us, we collect your name, email, and message. Like most sites, we collect basic analytics (pages visited, general location) to understand usage patterns.
In Pulse Tracker: When you create an account, we collect the information provided by your sign-in method — typically your name and email address from Google. When you use the tracker, we store the symptom check-in data, period tracking data, and medication information you choose to enter. This is health-related information that you provide voluntarily to help you track your experience over time.
How we store your data
Pulse Tracker data is stored securely in the cloud using Supabase, a hosted database service. Your data is associated with your account and protected by row-level security — meaning only you can access your own records. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
We chose Supabase for its strong security defaults and because your data stays within their infrastructure (hosted on AWS). We do not copy or transfer your data to any other service, except as described below.
How we use your data
Your tracker data is used to generate your personal dashboards, reports, and insights within the app — and for nothing else. We may use anonymised, aggregated data (with no way to identify you) to improve the product or understand general symptom patterns. We will never use your individual data for research without your explicit consent.
What we don't do
- Sell your data to anyone — ever
- Build advertising profiles
- Share your individual health data with employers, insurers, or third parties
- Send unsolicited marketing
- Anything that would make you uncomfortable
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google OAuth — for account sign-in. Google provides us with your name and email. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google data.
- Supabase — for secure data storage and authentication.
- Netlify — for website hosting.
- Plausible Analytics — for privacy-focused website analytics (no cookies, no personal data).
Cookies
The website uses minimal cookies for site functionality. The Pulse Tracker uses a session token stored in your browser to keep you signed in — this is essential for the app to function and is not used for tracking.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. You can also export your tracker data from within the app. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed from our systems.
To make a request, contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. For significant changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you.
